Notes: The origins of the Green Highlander reach back into the late 1800's. It is believed that Major Grant developed the Green Highlander based on a pattern called the Highlander which did not contain green. The Green Highlander is one of a few green salmon flies, but has managed to stay current in the angler lexicon for over 100 year. The fly can be found in endless variations with steelhead and tubes being a favorite medium for the pattern to be tied in. Damian has created a streamer which ties in many of the iconic features of the Green Highlander. True to form, the pattern contains the duo-tone body and hallmark green and yellow though out.
