Notes: The Long Lake is an original pattern tied by Jesse that was inspired by the classic trout pattern called the Pass Lake. The original Pass Lake fly was designed in Wisconsin in or around 1938 by an unknown angler. The fly can either be fished weighted or unweighted just below the water surface. As the fly becomes beaten and tattered, it becomes even more deadly. It is a very productive fly for trout in most any water and can be tied in many sizes to meet conditions.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
