Hook: Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek Rangeley Streamer 6xl
Thread: White
Tag: Fine embossed silver tinsel
Body: Light yellow silk
Rib: Fine embossed silver tinsel
Belly: White bucktail
Throat: Red schlappen fibers
Underwing: Dark pink bucktail
Wing: 4 dun hackles
Shoulder: Bronze mallard flank
Eye: Jungle cock nail
Head: Black
Notes: This is quite a beautiful streamer tied by Mike. The hackle has nice dark centers edged with lighter smoky dun tips that let the burst of pink break out of the creaks in the wing. The bronze mallard shoulder melts flawlessly into the wing, and the light body suggests this is a very tasty morsel slipping through the waters. This is a proven pattern, being quite successful in luring the land locked salmon populations of northern Maine.

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
