Nocvember 2020: Streamers 365 joins the Global FlyFisher
We are not taking on more tyers for Streamers 365.
You can submit material to the Global FlyFisher as always.

During 2012, we will be showcasing one feather-wing streamers a day for the entire year. The concept is called 365 blogging, but if you look at a 2012 calendar, you may notice there are actually 366 days! Not to worry, we've been able to scrape up an extra streamer for the day. We will be auctioning off most of the streamers presented on the blog. This is a great opportunity for collectors to find some amazing streamers to add to their collection. We will also be putting together a series of books based on the streamers presented in the project. These will likely be on a quarterly basis. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Darren MacEachern at streamers365@gmail.com.

Any profits generated by the site will be donated to some of our favorite causes. We hope to help The Streamerlist with some basic funding, as well as make donations to Trout Unlimited, Casting for Recovery, Atlantic Salmon Federation, Project Healing Waters and the Rangeley Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum. The streamers submitted will be used to help raise funds, so your generosity will help reach our goals, and support these great organizations.

Thank you! We look forward to seeing your submissions and adding them to the blog.

Hey Gary,

Thanks for dropping by. I've been collecting streamers from a number of tyers from around the globe and on Jan 1, I'll start displaying all the flies one per day. I'll be selling, auctioning, etc the streamers over the year to raise some money for the 6 organizations listed on the about page. Check your inbox. :)

I just picked up some supplies from a good friend in Fredericton which will allow me to tie some more of the streamers in this series. I will include them with the two I already mentioned.

Hey Petr. Thanks for the interest in the project. Unfortunately we are full. Keep posted on the site as we may have another project in the future.

Please consider adding to your donor listing the Reel Recovery program. "The mission of Reel Recovery is to help men in the cancer recovery process by introducing them to the healing powers of the sport of fly-fishing, while providing a safe, supportive environment to explore their personal experiences of cancer with others who share their stories." I've acted as a Fishing Buddy and Retreat Coordinator for this fine organization several times and it's a worthy cause. Any assistance you can offer would be deeply appreciated.
Best fishes,
Rod

Do you have an RSS feed for your site? I can't seem to find one. Only an email subscription.

Thanks,

John

Awesome site! Ive been tying 3 years now, and within the last year have started tying full dressed Atlantic Salmon flies as well as the more intricate streamers. Mostly freestyle of my own concoctions. I would love to share a few for the site!

Thanks for dropping in and checking out the site Rindy. It looks like we are full for the year already, but why don't you drop me an email with a few pictures of your flies. Perhaps I can share a bit of your work on the site or the facebook page. Cheers

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
See more details about what you can do to help in this blog post.
