The Maligne Laker's red and olive wing is an absolute slammer for fishing mountain brook and rainbow trout. Alan "Alberta Al" Grombacher designed the fly for the hard hitting trout of Maligne Lake. Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada is home to Maligne Lake. The lake has the distinction of producing book trout in excess of 10lb and rainbows over 20lb.
