Alan Youell

Alan hails from Western Canada and currently makes his home in Calgary, Alberta.

He has been an avid angler since childhood, has fly fished for 35 plus years and for the last 15 years has been roaming near and far with his spouse and business partner, pursuing a passion for fly fishing adventure. Alan has worked in the fly fishing industry in a fly shop, and as a guide, instructor and commercial fly tier.

After more than a decade of research and preparation, he and his spouse opened On The Water Fly Fishing Travel, a company that provides fly fishing travel services and custom flies to travelling anglers around the world.
