Torben has been fly fishing and fly tying since he was 13. In the beginning, he hunted the local trout with wet flies but developed an interest for salmon and dry fly fishing – primarily in Norway. Today, most of his “fly rod time” is spent on the Danish coasts chasing down searun brown trout with his rod and camera. At home he blogs about the subject at https://seatrouting.com (in Danish)
Professionally, Torben has a masters’ degree in biology (population genetics) specializing in Danish grayling populations. The degree was followed by a PhD degree about Slovenian Marble Trout. Today he works as a forensic geneticist in Copenhagen.
