Thousands of anglers have implemented the strategies from our first two instructional videos Modern Nymphing and Modern Nymphing Elevated. This film is different in that Devin Olsen and Lance Egan instruct how to identify productive water types, and what rigs and techniques to use in each situation. These techniques include Euro nymphing, dry-dropper, single dry fly, streamers, and more. Become a more versatile angler by learning how to find fish in areas most anglers pass by!

Film description:

In their two previous films, Modern Nymphing, and Modern Nymphing Elevated, Devin Olsen and Lance Egan shared European inspired nymphing methods, which have brought them success in competitions within the United States and around the world. With Gilbert Rowley capturing their Modern Nymphing magic on camera, these films have introduced thousands of anglers to techniques which have helped them increase their success and enjoyment on the water.

Modern Nymphing techniques are incredibly effective for catching trout in diverse areas of a river. However, rivers are complex environments with a variety of different water types. Yet, many anglers tend to focus only on obvious pools and simple runs, ignoring the additional opportunities available to them if they were to adapt their fishing to target more of the water types they encounter.

In this new film, Devin and Lance break down rivers into common water types including pools, riffles, runs, pocket water, glides, bank-side lies, eddies, etc. Each water type has unique characteristics that demand the use of different fishing methods. Devin and Lance provide strategies for selecting the most effective rigs and techniques for each water type. By applying the information provided in this video, fly anglers will be capable of adapting their fishing strategy to find success in a myriad of water types rather than fishing only the most obvious locations with the most common methods.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
