Bluegill Candy

I will be fishing out in Houston with a subscriber, and he said to bring some small sunfish flies. I of course tied up a bunch of bully bluegills, but also decided to look up some other patterns, and found this, The Bluegill Candy. Like the bully Bluegill, it is simple, uses many of the same materials, but looks like it will sink a bit quicker since it's tied with a tungsten bead.

So I am going to be out in Houston because Im taking my wife to a training thing for her work. This subscriber lives out in the area, and so we will meet up to fish. He says he has great luck fishing super light fly rods (he fishes a 1wt). He says most of the spots he fishes are ditches, creeks and ponds. Sounds like an adventure to me! He said there are lots of sunfish, but also the opportunity for bass as well. I can imagine this would work for carp also if there are any there.
