Record Salmon in New Zealand.
While fly fishing for big brown trout in New Zealand, we expierenced something unexpected. Huge King Salmons started to appear and were constatly spooking brown trourt, which we were trying to catch. After we failed to catch the spooked brown trout, we changed the tactics and decided to go after King Salmon instead. Having only light trout tackle and flies, this task seemed to be almost impossible. At the end of the day our hope, faith and perservarence paid off and we were blessed with landing the biggest fish of our New Zealand jorney. Record King Salmon on light fly gear in breathtaking surroundings is something very rare and will probably stay in our memories till the end of our lifes.
