Swedish fly tyer and fly fisher Håkan Karsnäser shows how to tie one of his favorite patterns for Czech nymphing.
Czech nymphing is spreading all around the world and has gained a very big popularity. The method is also called Euronymphing and the idea is to fish a very heavy fly - or several flies on the leader as deep as possible, right where the fish are staying and feeding. With either a strike indicator or observing the movement of the leader, the method can be super effective. Our own Swedish fly tyer and fly fisher Håkan Karsnäser demonstrates here one of his favorites-patterns for czech nymphing in the Swedish streams, where the hunt is for rainbow trout and natural brown trouts with the heavy caddis imitation Dubbelmackan on the leader.

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
