Dýrbítur

Here we will be tying the Dýrbítur fly pattern by Siggi Páls. The Dýrbítur is truly lethal when it comes to fish brown trout and sea trout here in Iceland. I presume it will indeed work for Steelhead and rainbow as well, but those species we don't have in our waters here in Iceland. The fly is a great option for both stream and lake fishing and is really effective! It's ok to try out some experiments with the colours but most common is black, white, olive, pink and orange. Just play around with the colours at your wise and let me know if you catch something.

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
