Euro Hooker

This fly came about when I was trying to make a 'Euro' version of Charlie Craven's Two Bit Hooker. I'm not saying it's as good as the original, but it sure does catch a lot of fish. I generally keep this black but do use all sorts of different color accent beads.
Recipe
Hook: Dohiku, Size 14
Bead #1: 3.3mm Slotted Tungsten, Matte Black
Bead #2: 2.5mm Countersunk Tungsten, Fire Orange
Thread: UTC 70, Black
Tail: Micro-Barred Fibbers, White/Barred Black
Rib: Small Ultra Wire, Silver

A note on Hook and Bead sizes:
For a #14 hook, use a 3.3mm slotted bead with 2.5mm countersunk bead and size small ultra wire.
For a #16 hook, use a 2.8mm slotted bead with 2.0mm countersunk bead and size extra small ultra wire.

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
