Great Lakes Egg Pattern
When the salmon and trout are spawning in the streams, rainbow trout often sneak close to the spawning grounds and eat the nutrient-rich eggs that drift with the current. Therefore, a effective fly for rainbow trout is imitations of salmon-eggs and these must not be missing from the boxes during fishing in autumn and wintertime. We have had the Danish fly tyer and fly fisherman Jesper Lindquist Andersen behind the fly vise to demonstrate his super simple take on a really effective fly, which he himself has used several times while fishing in the rivers that flow into The Great Lakes in the USA – and with great success.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
