Green Drake Cripple

No comments yet

When the Green Drakes (the largest of the may flies) hatches, it’s the trout- and grayling fly fisher’s best chance for some of the river’s largest fish on a dry fly. US based flytyer and flyfisher Mike Beckley loves dryflies and will in this video demonstrate his favorite pattern of the green drake in a cripple version. Mike says about the fly “The green drake is a very large dryfly, so be carefully not going too out of control in the proportions. Durability is key and tied well the Green Drake Cripple has a big profile fly that is going to present itself still very delicacy and hopefully fool the fish you are in search of.”

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
