Lièvre Et Perdix - Hare and Partridge Nymph

This Jean-Paul Pequegnot’s favorite nymph pattern.

Hook: Fine wire nymph hook size 16-12. If you want to weight it add a copper wire base.
Tail: Brown partridge fibers
Abdomen: buff colored wool yarn.
Thorax: Hare underfur and guardhairs mixed
Legs: brown partridge fibers tied in sections around the head to imitate legs.
Thread: brown

This set of materials without a tail and a collar of a partridge feather wrapped makes an excellent wet fly.
