My sons first River Trip

No comments yet

Fly fishing on a river has different challenges than just a small lake. I really wanted to take my son out to the river to catch some fish, so he could start to learn how to deal with them. While he has a lot to learn, I do feel he did very well and im proud he listened to me for the most part. Well I guess until the end when I was trying to say good buy to you all. HAHA. But I was the same way. I never could stop talking, heck I still can't. And neither can he. Thats ok though, hope it wasn't too difficult to get through that section of the video. I appreciate you all coming along with us again for another outing. I need to try and take my son more often, but I only get to go fishing once or twice a month so, sometimes he has to come along. Anyway, below is the links to the boots and the rods.

Also as you all know, I love my Risen fly gear. It is really great quality for a great price. This rod we were fishing with is $99, and the reel is as well. So for under $200, you get a great setup that is good enough to fish with for years to come. Never feel like you need to upgrade to something better unless you want to. Better yet, I got all of you a discount. Type in McFly at checkout and you get 15% off of everything in their shop.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
