Baitfish imitations are a must-have in the box of everyone chasing the fish of their dreams. Even the largest and most selective trout in the river can sometimes be fooled by a well-fished fish imitation, and when we talk about fishing in salt water, baitfish imitations must not be missing at all. We have had a visit in the studio of the Danish fly tyer and fly fisherman Jesper Lindquist Andersen, who demonstrates his take on an effective imitation of sandeels. A few sparse materials make this fly to be tied down to smaller sizes which has proven very effective on quiet days where the fish can be extra careful.
