Para-loop with CDC

"Hackle Stacker" of CDC Technique. Hello all...this is more a technique video...rather than a pattern or specific fly.

I noticed this technique on this video:
https://youtu.be/D6SFbEBBYak?si=qAWZALpxs6EtGtTE

Unlike making a para-loop of hackle where you wide the hackle up and down a loop and then fold it over the thorax of a fly...we do it with CDC...but the technique requires some slight changes.

I have only played with the technique and done some trial tyings to figure out how it floats/rides and how to make it relatively "tough". I have yet to work a fly with this idea on the water but I am sure it will work.

Let me know in the comments what you think of the idea and whether or not you think it is a good one.

Enjoy!

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
