This is a classic fly, that has been tied by guides and used by the masses for years. Its relatively easy to tie, especially when you go with this technique with the legs which I learned from tightlines, another YouTube fly tying channel... And it works great as a stonefly imitation, which most stonefly imitators tend to be very difficult and lengthy ties. This one is quick and easy. A handful of them should be in your box at all times, incase you start seeing some stoneflies under rocks. Trout will move for such a large meal, and they are like little treats for all the fish on the river.
