PFD Caddis

A fly tying video on how to tie a PFD Caddis, a Hi Float - Hi Vis Dry Fly. This dry fly pattern is one my favorite flies to use in the evenings with my customers out of the boat. Casting these little caddis flies up to the bank is more fun than you can shake a stick at. The PFD Caddis is tied to float high and be visible at any reasonable distance. I prefer to use white foam because it has the highest contrast on the water. This fly is also great for "skittering" your caddis because it floats every time.

The dry fly fishing on the rivers near Aspen, CO is world class. From little stream pockets to big river runs, an angler can cast a dry fly all day in the Summer months. If you would like to learn more about the fishing in Colorado and book a float that you will never forget, go to http://www.riplips.com.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
