In recent years, salmon flies, where a part or all of the wing has been replaced with flash, have become very popular – especially in cloudy water, it can be a great advantage to have a material that can really attract the attention of salmon or sea run brown trout. In this video, we have had the skilled Danish fly tyer and fly fisherman Daniel D. Holm behind the vise to demonstrate his version of the popular salmon fly Parthagorva but in his own "tuned" version, in combination with a flash wing. Originally tied by the Swedish fly tyer Mikael Frödin, the fly has proven its effectiveness in many places around the world and has become a true classic. Daniel's version is tied as a short tube fly with a heavy bead, which ensures that the fly fishes as soon as it hits the water and comes down quickly where the fish often stand in rivers and streams.
