PT Purple Jig

No comments yet

Here we will be tying a version of the Pheasant tail. The Pheasant Tail is classic nymph, really effective and probably the most popular nymphs in Icelandic trout fishing among with the Peacock nymph. The fly is a great option for both stream and lake fishing. The fly catches both brown trout and arctic char. I could write a whole thesis about how effective and good this fly is but I prefer to keep it short. Less is more. :) The PT is a really simple pattern to tie and totally worth to keep it in your box when go fishing!

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
