Here is the latest Remnant fly. This one is #17 and a freestyle Wet fly.
I was organizing some of my various yarns this past week and ran across some Lavender yarn that I had and thought it would be nice to use some in a wet fly to see how it looks and fishes. It just so happens that when I started rummaging through my Remnant box for this video the first material that caught my eye was some Lavender yarn. From there the fly developed as a free style wet fly. Not certain the Wood Duck Gold mallard flank fits with the overall color scheme but I think the fly turned out pretty well. The only other thing I would change is using a #12 or #14 Mylar tinsel instead of the larger #10. - - Enjoy
As I continue the Remnant fly series I will have a #12 fly out in a couple weeks and it and all future Remnant flies will be only on Locals for those who support the community. After a year (or so) of being on the Guild community I will then publish them to everyone on YouTube. Exclusive content is one small way to thank those who support the Dressed Irons Guild Community.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
