Here's my second fly fishing Vlog, and again we, I and my son, went to the Sauðlauksdalsvatn lake in the Westfjords region of Iceland. This time I narrate it in English so it's easier for you guys to understand what's going on. Bjarki my son caught 2 Arctic char and decided to keep them for the BBQ. However 99% of our catch we release. I do C&R a lot. Sauðlauksdalsvatn is a unique lake for many reasons, but the main reason is that it has white sand bottom. Actually the only lake that has that type of bottom. It holds seatrout, Arctic char, both local and sea run, then the local brown trout. Great lake and and excellent spot for fly fishing, both for beginner or advanced. I hope you enjoy the Vlog!

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
