The Best Smallmouth Bass Fly
This is the first of a series of fly tying tutorials I will be posting. This streamer is deadly for smallmouth bass in moving water. Recipe:
Hook: 3XL Streamer hook, size 6
Eyes: Chartreuse lead dumbbell eyes
Thread: 280 d Chartreuse
Wire: Dark green Ultra Wire
Tail: Two marabou feathers (olive and grizzly used in video)
Flash: Crystal Flash
Hackle: Grizzly streamer neck hackle (Schlappen works too)
Back: Olive rabbit strip
Body: Olive ice chenille
Head: 2 colors of Senyo's Laser Dub (olive and white used here)
