Off of Ring Road 1 on Iceland’s southern coast run a host of wild rivers fed by glacial water. That’s where Stanji Ben runs his fly fishing tour group, Iceland Angling Travel. With temperatures often dropping below freezing in an Icelandic spring, fly fishermen need to break ice off of their rods just to continue casting. But a little cold weather and near blizzard conditions doesn’t stop Stanji from wading waist deep into freezing waters to catch the elusive Icelandic river trout. Here we follow him out on a trip with friends to talk about the take, the river, and the country he calls home. Music by Chris Zabriskie - http://chriszabriskie.com/
