A variant of a large American Hex mayfly pattern that has a couple of unusual techniques that can be easily adapted for tying Danica and Vulgata patterns.

Thread: Dyneema
Wing: Calf tail
Body: Buck tail & elk or deer hair
Tail: Pheasant tail
Hackle: Coachman brown & Silver badger
