Here we will be tying the Walleye Special Leech. As a matter of fact, this fly is not relation the no people personally. But I found it funny what I saw on news here about those guy adding weight to their fish with sinkers. This is a great pattern for brown trout both in running water or still water on a dead drift since this leech doesn't move fast. Every year I catch some trout on this pattern tied on hook in size 6-8. It's possible to fish the fly under and indicator too. The UV flash does also a lot for the fly. The fly mainly catches brown trout and seatrout here in Iceland. It's a good pattern, simple to tie and totally worth keeping a few in your box when you go fishing (or to a fishing competition) LOL
Pattern
Author: Ívar Örn Hauksson.
Hook: Ahrex NS118 #6
Thread: Semperfli Classic Waxed 8/0 black.
Weight: Semperfli lead free wire 0,9mm.
Tail: Black Marabou + UV crystal flash.
Body: Black chenille.
Wing: Black Marabou
Head: UV Solarez Bone Cure.
(Competition weight - if you want to can add a lead sinker to the fly for a competition) I guess it's not a good idea..... Plus you may need a thicker rod than the normal fly rod to cast it).
