Opening Day
A cold one
Got out for a bit of Opening Day yesterday. It was cold - mid 40's - with a steady rain and drizzle. The kind of day that takes awhile to warm up from when you are finally done.
Unfortunately, the streams in the Catskills were pretty high and creamy - not to mention frigid cold. Not much in the way of trout to be seen or felt.
I did spot some midges coming off the water, and Blake had a little black stonefly crawling on his jacket at one poit.
I have to keep saying to myself "Good weather is coming".

Since you got this far …
… I have a small favor to ask.
Long story short
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
