Originated by: Carrie Stevens
Source: Carrie G. Stevens: Maker of Rangeley Favorite Trout and Salmon Flies - Hilyard 138-139

Hook: Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek Rangeley Steamer 6xl
Thread: Black 8/0
Tag: Silver flat tinsel
Tail: Black hackle fibers
Body: Silver flat tinsel
Throat: Pink hackle fibers
Wing: 2 pink hackles flanked by grizzly hackle dyed yellow

Head: Black (with orange band )

Notes: The Jungle Queen is one of Carrie Stevens' patterns, but not much is known about the origins of the pattern. In Hilyards 'Carrie G. Stevens: Maker of Rangeley Favorite Trout and Salmon Flies' the dressing is the same as Mrs. Stevens' Yellow Witch. Other references to the Yellow Witch list the it with a white bucktail belly.

Don, super job as always. I know you are recuperating, and i hope this finds you feeling much, much better.
Cheers, Joel

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
