Hook: Mustad 9575 #1-#6
Thread: White 70 denier
Tail: a very small bunch of yellow fibers of yellow hackle
Body: Pale cream or amber floss tapered
Rib: Flat gold tinsel
Throat: A small bunch of yellow hackle fibers covered by a few orange hackle fibers
Wing: 2 grizzly hackles dyed yellow flanked by yellow hackle
Cheek: Jungle cock nail
Topping: Several peacock herls same length as wing
Head: Black

Notes: It should be noted that Lew Oatman, while the dressing in Bates' book includes a listing for the tail, did not always include in the pattern. This pattern was designed to fool largemouth bass feeding on schools of perch minnows in the shallows of lakes. It is also a good producing pattern for lakes with stocked populations of rainbow trout who have developed a taste for flesh. Oatman also notes that both the Yellow Perch Streamer and his Golden Shiner will take bass on days that noisier lures fail to interest them.
