Originated by: Darren MacEachern
Hook: Mustad B-17 #2
Thread: Black flat waxed nylon
Tail: Long peacock sword fibers
Body: Black floss
Rib: Red flat braid
Belly: White bucktail
Throat: Natural black schlappen
Underwing: Fine peacock herl
Wing: Four natural black hackles
Shoulder: Grizzly hen dyed red then natural black hen saddle
Cheek: Jungle cock
Head: Black
Notes: A dark streamer with just a bit of red stuck in. The shoulder is stacked so that the subdued red hen feather is just noticeable, sticking out from behind the black hen and giving the streamer the appearance of an injured prey item. Natural black feathers are used rather than dyed black so that there is some variance of the shades, and depending on the feather, some natural iridescence.
