Originated by: Carrie Stevens
Source: Carrie G. Stevens: Maker of Rangeley Favorite Trout and Salmon Flies - Hilyard Pg. 132 - 133
Hook: Partridge CS15 #2
Thread: White
Tag: Silver flat tinsel
Body: Red floss
Rib: Flat silver tinsel
Belly: White bucktail
Throat: Gray hackle fibers
Underwing: 4-6 peacock herls
Wing: 2 gray hackle flanked by yellow hackles flanked by orange hackles
Eye: Jungle cock nail
Head: Black with orange band
Notes: Dan has a distinctly eastern Canadian style of tying Carrie Stevens patterns. Dan is true to the original in material, changing up the presentation by staggering the 3 wing colours. Carrie's original calls for only the orange hackle to be tied in slightly shorter. Dan was a bit of a happy accident so to speak. When Darren was beginning his planning of the Streamers 365 project, he wasn't aware of Dan and his tying skills. After Dan won a random draw on the Streamers 365 Facebook page, Darren asked Dan to submit a couple patterns for the project.

I went to tie this fly and noticed Hilyard's book states it has an orange floss body as shown but calls for red floss. Just saying. Great job on this project.

Thanks Bob. It's possible I made the error, or copied it. I'll check it our and find some other sources. Thanks for the heads up.
