Notes: If you have been following the blog, and Steve's streamers, it is no secret that he has been a fan of Carrie Stevens' Tomahawk pattern, and has developed several of his own patterns using the pink and blue theme of the lionized streamer. Along with his Blue Back streamer (#129), this pattern has been a proven success and is recommended to be tied on the line during dark days. The many lakes throughout Maine's Rangeley region have been Steve's proving grounds for the streamer, bringing many unsuspecting trout and salmon out of the water for a glimpse of the atmosphere. In addition to the single hook, Steve also ties the fly in a tandem rig, and has several variations of the streamer including a silver bodied version which is rumored to work well with the salmon and trout of Scandinavia.
