Notes: The impact a dog has on the life of those who love the outdoors is immeasurable. It's a connection and a kinship that rivals most human relationships. A friendship so close that words need not be spoken. Jim lost him treasured friend, a German Sheppard named Jessie in 2007. He tied the pattern in memory of his lost pal and as a reminded in the bond they shared. We thank Jim for sharing his memory of Jessie with the world.

Beautiful fly, and wonderful tribute to your dog. I used to have a white GSD. She was one of the best dogs I've ever had. They do hold a special place in your heart. You have a gem of a fly here. Jessie would nod approval for sure. (and so will the fish)

Since you got this far …

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
