Tail: Brown mottled turkey tail
Body: Light yellow floss slightly tapered
Ribbing: Gold flat tinsel
Throat: Red duck quill as long as the tail
Wing: Fox squirrel tail extending to the end of the tail
Eye: Jungle cock nail, small and short
Head: Black

Notes: Lew Oatman hailed from Shushan, New York and designed the streamer around 1953. Mr. Oatman named the fly as a nod to the town's postmaster, Al Prindle, who also happened to be one of his favoured fishing companions. The body of the streamer should be tapered slightly with a bias towards the head. The taper was one of the realistic features that Mr. Oatman built into his designs, along with the mimicking natural color scheme and red throat. The details included in the creation have contributed to the success of the streamer, and when fished in waters rich with golden shiners, the fly is about as close to a sure thing as you can get.
