Hard core. beautiful, a joy to watch. I really love the music with the squeezebox: who plays this, and where can I buy a recording?
Fishing with friends, each with 50 yrs + fly fishing experience, we had an opportunity to fish this inovative fly on the Green River, Utah. I can tell you that the strike ratio to similar flys was 8 to 1 in favor of Duck's extended body fly. It would be great if these flys were available commercially for those of us who love to fish but have limited time for fly tying or the ability to do so. Thank you Mr. Duckworth for a great fishing experience.
I know it's over a year ago and I don't know if you are still looking for the keel hooks but I have about 100 each in sizes 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16.
Thanks Bill. I managed to find some on EBAY so I got them there. I am so glad I found this web site as it has been most helpful.
Beautiful work here on this one Loretta, like it a lot
Thank you Barry. I had been giving this streamer a lot of thought while tying the other submissions for this project. It is the only one one I have tied yet so I will have to make another one for a keepsake.

Way to go Alan! I think these would work good on the bass here too. I love bucktail streamers. Nice work on these!
Martin's idea is good. I cut a very slim piece of plastic from a sandwich baggie and use that as a shellback. Takes markers well. Seems in the spirit of the sparse material selection the original Czech and Polish fishermen had at their disposal. HAHAHA
My wife tells me that she is starting a fan club for your lurcher. And she is now looking at our tri colored Llewellyn setter Lindy with renewed interest.
I'm really impressed. This is a real fish art!
The owl seems alive
Nice clean easy streamer. Liked the wetting the marabow before tying it on the hook.
Larry,
Bug Bond is widely available, but can be found online here, where there's a whole page with dealers.

Alan,
Thank you for your kind comment. I'm really glad that the site helps you. That is the whole idea and it's good to hear that it works.

Just a note to tell you how much I appreciate your website. It has been such a great help. I am a retired pastor/police officer and have been flyfishing since 2000 and it is the only way I know how to fish. I took a course in flyfishing & flytying in Kansas in 2000 and my instructors were very good. But one forgets alot when away from the source. My wife & I became missionaries to Korea with the Nazarene Church (Methodist) for a number of years and recently returned to the US. I'm back into flyfishing here in Louisiana. I found your website and I thoroughly enjoy it and it has helped me a lot. Thank you for all your work & sharing in flyfishing. Blessings to you.
Chris,
The pictures in the article are all but one from the Danish tackle shops I frequent. The average Danish shop will have a pretty good fly-tying selection as you can see.
Martin
ooooohooo where is this flytying shop.....?????????????????
please cane you me give the address from this shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
best regards
Chris
Excellent job, I love this pattern!
… I have a small favor to ask.
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
