Pit,

I don't know what kind of shop you buy in, but in my local flyshop the owner himself will take down several bags of material and open for me!

And of course there's no discount on material that's been opened. Everything should be in bags that allow opening and resealing. Hooks is another matter as is lots of other things like small eyes, tubes, weights and such. There is usually no need to open these factory made items. It's the natural materials that need inspection because they vary so much.

And of course it's our duty as customers to do the inspection with delicacy and finesse and leaving everything exactly as it was when we go. We don't want to mess up anything, but just to get what we are looking for.

BIG,

Both Riskov and the area outside Marselis Skov are well known and popular coastal locations in Aarhus. You can definitely fish there with confidence. And consider traveling by bus. Aarhus - as most Danish cities - has an excellent public transportation system, which can bring you quite close to good fishing water.

Also consider visiting the tackle shops in town and ask. Dragefisken or Stefs Lystfiskergrej are two options. Look up their addresses on the web.

Hello Martin.

I am studying in Aarhus and wondered where is good for coastal fishing. Should i swing down past the hotel marsaille or out riskov way. I only have a push bike and recent injury prevents me cycling more than 45 minutes.

Hope you can help

What are the materials used for tying the"Punkin' Pie". Thanks in advance!

Mike,

We do not sell any flies. So you will have to tie yourself or show the recipe to a tying friend or a flyshop and get them to tie.

To all,

I'm sure Carlos will not mind you using the logo for your signs and other material. The logo is actually available to download in a good quality from the main article, and there's an explanations of its colors and the optimal way to use it, so that's the whole purpose.

I have tried to contact Carlos directly but not heard back, so I will hereby grant the permission.

This tool looks very professional. Beautiful handcrafted. If I had the skills and the equipment to make
this tool, I was starting to-day.

its frustrating - but can anyone imagine what will happen if you open 20 plisters to select 2 packages of hooks or if you do the same with any other material? there is hardly anything available without sealed in plasic.. Once open no one will buy it anymore without discount. So the shopowner wont be amused unless youspend more then 200 Euros. But usually I just add a few articles to my stores.

Do you sell this pike fly. I would love to have a dozen or so to take to Northern Manitoba this June.

We in Sequoia National Park at Lodgepole Market are asking permission to use your "Catch and Release" logo to promote fishing for generations. Thanks,

I have attempted to download Leader Calc, and cannot open it. I have downloaded it several times, and keep getting the same result. A prompt comes up that the download is complete but there is nothing there. Please help Thanks in advance.

Tim,

Nice boxes as always. I'd love to have something like them for my upcoming trip to the Catskills in May.

I will most likely get some flies tied, but nothing near your production.

I have to agree with all others ... Hans, a very good article. The only one you need if you intent to tie with CDC

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
