Cornelis,

No problem! I just want to make sure that the "official!" GFF policy is clear.

What you do as a private person is your sake - even though I'd think that buying a DVD bow and then is a good idea. ;-)

Martin

Martin is not my intention to put people to illegal to do sorry.
I write my posts as a new member in your forum, about my technique and people can ask about that on fisheries.
Greeting: Cornelis

Cornelis,

While I certainly appreciate your DVD recommendations on Spey and two hand casting, I cannot say that I'm overly enthused by your advice to download these videos from the web.

First of all it's illegal and secondly it's cheating the people who put time and money into making the productions in the first place.

What you do yourself is your own business (even though I don't condone it), but I don't want you to recommend breaking the law on The Global FlyFisher.

There are plenty videos and trailers out there, which can be had for free. We have just launched our own online fly fishing video channel here on GFF. There are endless hours of fishing video to be picked up there.

But when it comes to [b:68a0ac0b13]commercial products[/b:68a0ac0b13], please [b:68a0ac0b13]buy your copies[/b:68a0ac0b13] and support those who make the videos. They are not getting fat or rich as it is, and pirating their stuff certainly won't help!

Fred,

This is a really old jacket, and probably discontinued from Nomad. I bought mine close to 20 years ago, and actually threw it in the garbage just weeks ago. I have moved from my house recently and the Nomad-jacket was one of the things I had to let go. I liked it very much, but it had served its time, and completely lost its breathability and main purpose, namely keeping me dry when I'm fishing.

You can see the current Nomad web site here - not beautiful, but anyway...

This is a fabulous section of GFF. Most of the videos are amazing. Congradulations to GFF team and producers, you had assembled a "grand cru" here. Cheers!

Hello Radoslav, I like to come over to Bulgaria to fish the brown or rainbow on a river in your country not to far from Sofia. I have my personal raisons to come over there but it has to be on a river and fly-fish only. If it exist I like to fish catch and release. Can you give me some info about my questions. Thank you.

Henrik,

The Aquatex jacket is discontinued and finding an old jacket in some store is most likely your only chance. One Google search and I found it here (in Danish).

But there must be more places where they have some lying around.

Hi there!
Where can I get the improved Scierra Aquatex short wading jacket you talk about in your article?
Any online shop?
This jacket is impossible to get here in Spain where I live.
Thanks
Henrik

I Danish Coast is the one I liked best because of time of year, salt water and life in those salmon even the small one all the video's were good. Brown trout is my specialty, never caught a sea run brown. Could Say more but I like your web site even copy tying your flies.

Jocelin,

Nice fly and nice fish! And excellent pictures.
You might want to consider submitting material like this to me. Then I can promote it to an article. We need stuff for articles as it is, and your stuff will get much more attention on the front page.

Martin

Kai,

I thought we'd let some of the great video out there trickle onto the GFF pages. I have long been following different services and searched for fly fishing videos and found some really nice ones. Now I have a way of conveying them to the GFF audience.

Hi Martin,
what a perfect idea!
Great to look at other one's catches when the wheater is bad and little time to fish,
like it is today.
See forward to see you next time in Denmark.

Good afternoon. I have tried many rod bonds from Gudebrod, FlexCoat, and others, but U 40 is the only one I use now. great hold on rods from Catfish rods to fly rods. Cant get any better.

I'm embarking upon my 4th bonefishing trip soon, and found your advice spot on! It's a good refresher especially for those of us who only go every year or two.

I like your last option, too, to "chill" a bit if someone is getting frustrated. One time, we were trying very hard but with limited results, so our guide (who should be canonized) took a breather and showed us gals some local flora and fauna- some underwater caves, a starfish colony, etc. When we returned to the task at hand, all were merrier and ended up successfully landing a bonefish. Afterall, we ARE supposed to be having fun, like you mentioned!
Thanks for the tips,
Sue

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
