Italian Stefano Farkas continues to supply the most astonishing full dressed salmon flies.
Italian master fly tyer Stefano Farkas mailed me again, with yet another of his impressing full dressed salmon flies. This time the Childers as introduced by Thomas Edwin Pryce-Tannatt in his book "How to dress salmon flies". You can find the full book online here.

Today you are "on my radar" to use your amusing expression. Recently I sent to you only new projects of flies and all with full feathers wings.
This time I am pleased to show you my interpretation of a great full dressed pattern, the "Childers", as described by Pryce-Tannatt in his essential book.
Only few other words: materials are exactly as required, with no substitutes and the hook is a 9/0 Harrison & Bartleet by Ron Reinhold. I have still some of his beautiful hooks, even if, let me say that Ronn Lucas hooks are now same level, in my opinion (no, I am not sponsored by him because he doesn't need it, and I pay for his hooks...).
It is not easy to find materials large and long enough for such a big hook.
I already told you: I think that the importance of a fine hook is primary in this art. It is not a simple canvas for painting.
Kind Regards.
Stefano
