Coping with leaky wader feet

If you are on a trip and realise that one of the feet of your stockingfoot waders are leaking, do not dispair!

A fresh and whole plastic bag in a suitable size will fix the problem quickly.
Simply draw the bag over your foot after having donned your dry sock(s), and stick the foot and bag in the waders.

The bag will keep the worst moisture from getting to your skin. The foot will be neither more or less comfortable, as the plastic is no different from the neoprene of your waders when it comes to letting air to your feet. The only moisture your foot will feel is coming from the inside - unless your waders are really leaky!

Since you got this far …

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
See more details about what you can do to help in this blog post.

The Global FlyFisher has recently been updated to a new publishing system, and there may be a few glitches while the last bits get fixed. If you meet anything that doesn't work, please let me know.
