In this series of videos, produced exclusively for the Global FlyFisher, renowned fly tyer Wayne Luallen will be presenting a row of tying techniques in small, concentrated, quick-to-watch, easy-to-catch videos.
He will not be showing full fly patterns, but focus on single steps, material handling, use of tools, understanding the nature of materials and other basic skills. The videos will typically last 2-3-4 minutes, and not be long and elaborated productions.

You can pick among the many videos and watch one or a few, or consider watching the whole collection as a "virtual tying class", where you can go through all the individual lessons as you please. There is no particular sequence in the videos, but they are organized in subjects and furthermore tagged with keywords in such a way that navigating between videos with similar content is easy.
We will also try to indicate where the given technique or tip is applicable when tying: what step of you fly or what type of fly it's useful for. You will also be presented with more content, which can be interesting in the same scope: other videos in our huge video channel, articles, fly patterns and more.
In this way you can find the videos and other content, which is particularly relevant for what you tie or for the pattern you are currently trying to tame.

We, of course, recommend that you watch all Wayne's videos, and return on a regular basis, since the whole idea is that the section will be kind of a "handbook" and the intention is that it will grow in size and scope as we develop the concept and get a better idea of what you want to see and what works.

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
