#188 Honeysweet - David Mac #188 Honeysweet - David Mac

Tied by: David Mac
Originated by: David Mac

Hook: Martinek Carrie Stevens hook #1 10X Long
Thread: Black
Body: Silver Mylar tinsel, size 10
Rib: Oval silver tinsel, size small
Throat: Pale yellow hackle
Belly: Peacock blue bucktail
Wing: Two yellow olive saddles, topped with two pale yellow saddles,
Shoulder: White turkey flat
Cheek: 2 blue peacock breast feathers each side
Eyes: Jungle cock

Notes: The contrast between the deep greens and blues of the peacock and the pale watery yellow hackles really gives this streamer a fresh summer feeling. It reminds one of cold melons, and a crisp spring fed streamer where it could be cast to the noses of big lethargic brown trout. It was created on a commission for Mr. Charles Sweet of Vermont in June 1997.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
