#271 Buried Treasure - Damian Lee Welsh #271 Buried Treasure - Damian Lee Welsh

Tied by: Damian Lee Welsh
Originated by: Damian Lee Welsh

Hook: Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek Rangeley Streamer hook 8xl #2
Thread: White
Tip: X-fine silver tinsel
Body: White floss
Rib: Silver twist and orange floss
Belly: A long golden pheasant crest sweeping upwards, orange bucktail and white polar bear
Wing: White hackle flanked by orange hackle
Eye: Jungle cock
Head: Black

Notes: We think Damian may have been busy digging through the underground passages and structures on Oak Island (in Nova Scotia). There is legend that more than one pirate captains had stashed large amounts of loot there. Perhaps Damian has stumbled upon something. The polar bear belly mixes perfectly with the orange bucktail, and the ribbing detail on the body is a nice touch, tying in the wing colour.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
