Originated by: Darren MacEachern
Hook: Mustad #3907B #4
Tag: Medium silver flat tinsel
Ribbing: Medium silver flat tinsel
Body: Orange floss
Belly: 15-20 peacock herl
Wing: 2 yellow hackles flanked by orange, then red and claret, each one shorter than the last.
Eye: Jungle cock nail
Head: Black
Notes: I had been playing around with some different ways to graduate color in the wing of my streamers. Most of my efforts required me to hand color the feathers with permanent marker, but I wasn't happy with the saturation of the color into the feather. This graduated feather has a much smoother blend when it's wet and the color is more vibrant. I tied this streamer with pre-assembled wings and tied along the hook shank in the Stevens style so the fly is quite slender when it gets dipped.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
