The Global FlyFisher has recently been updated to a new publishing system, and there may be a few glitches while the last bits get fixed. If you meet anything that doesn't work, please let me know.

Lubricate the rod ferrules

Always lubricate the ferrules on your rod, before you assemble your rod. Ferrules both sit better and get apart easier when lubricated. Whether you pull the male ferrule along your nose or thru your hair, make sure you have a bit of lubrication on the ferrules. This will help your you to break up the rod at the end of the day.
The best lubricant is proper ferrule wax, but rubbing a candle on the male part can also work in a tight spot.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
