Black and Green

No comments yet

When the first weeks of the salmon season in the salmon rivers have passed and the water in the rivers begins to clear up after the spring flood – flies in greenish shades can really prove their worth in the search of the “king of the river”. Swedish salmon and seatrout legend Mikael Frödin came up with the beautiful pattern Black Green Helmet, and it is this fly the Danish salmon fisherman and salmon fly tyer Casper Hansen will demonstrate his variant of. A variant that is somewhat simpler in the tying of the body of the fly and where the focus has been on the construction of the teardrop-shaped wing in the green and black shades. Casper also ties the fly on a double hook for low water, but in this video he will be tying it as a tube fly.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
