Brown or Red hackle

No comments yet

James (Jim) E. Leisenring is named one of the towering figures in American wet-fly fishing and the author of the classic book “The Art of Tying the Wet Fly and Fishing the Flymph”. In this book a beautiful classic spiderpattern is describes as Brown or Red Hackle - which is allmost identical to another traditional North Country Spider called Bracken Clock. In this video we once again have our own Lars Chr. Bentsen behind the vise to demonstrate this simple yet beautifully spider using only few materials - all kept in the historical point of view.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
