Cutcliffe XXVIII

No comments yet

Cutcliffe 28. Still in April. Hare's Ear, Dark Squirrel, Dark Rusty Blue.

Body - mix of Hare's Ear and little dark squirrel. Note at this time in the UK...mid 1800s the native squirrel was only the Eurasian red squirrel...Grey squirrel and others introduced from the US in the late 1800s early 1900s. So that color is a dark red almost mahogany leaning? You can use a dyed dubbing to get the color needed.
Hackle: Dark Rusty Blue

Straightforward tie. This can be the model to adapt the style of fly to your home waters and bug life.

Give them a shot!

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
